Ingredients
• 6 apples
• 1 cup sugar
• 3-4 cups water
• Clotted cream
• Honey
• Finely ground pistachios
• Juice of 1 lemon
Preparation:
Wash and peel the apples. Remove the cores without splitting the apples, leaving a hole in the center. Brush them with lemon juice to prevent browning. In a large pot, bring water and sugar to a boil. Add the apples to the pot and cook until tender. Remove from heat and take out the apples with a slotted spoon. Let them drain; once thoroughly drained, place them on a baking tray. Grill in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius until golden brown (approximately 15 minutes). Remove from oven and transfer to a serving plate. When cool, fill the centers with clotted cream. Drizzle honey over them. Optionally, garnish with pistachio kernels and serve.
